The Launchkey Mini by Novation is a 25-key USB MIDI controller with a total of 26 assignable controls that can be MIDI mapped to control most DAWs and plug-ins. It also has 16 velocity-sensitive, three-color, backlit trigger pads that can be used to launch loops, samples and more. The controller is compatible with Mac, PC and iPad. Additionally, the Launchkey Mini is equipped with 8 assignable rotary controls, 7 function buttons and 2 performance buttons that can be used for controlling mixer functions, effect parameters and more. It makes use of Novation’s InControl technology that allows for automatic control mapping in popular DAWs such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Reason, Cubase, Logic and others. The package also includes a software suite that includes Ableton Live Lite as well as software versions of some of Novation’s classic analog synths, the Bass Station and the V-Station. It also allows for free downloads of the Launchkey and Launchpad apps for producing and performing with the Launchkey Mini in tandem with your iPad.
